Royal Phuket Marina hosted yet another fabulous party and prize- giving celebrating Asia's premier yachting regatta, the Phuket King's Cup.
Hosted for the second year running, the celebration was attended by over 1000 yachtsmen and guests on Friday, December 8th, with spectacular entertainment by international performers and vibrant fireworks finale.
In attendance were a host of top government officials and VIPs, as well as a large party of Hong Kong socialites and business leaders, including the renowned founder of the Lan Kwai Fong nightlife centre, Allan Zeman.
After welcome drinks and a Thai buffet dinner, the first show was an exhilarating show by the Art of Dance troupe from Bangkok, with a virtuoso performance of iconic hits ranging from "Hey Big Spender" and "Come Fly with Me" to "FAME".
The main act -- all the way from London -- was a one-man show by Tom Griffiths, currently the understudy for Phantom
of the Opera. He performed a few Phantom favourites as well as "The Lady is a Tramp" before transforming into Elvis to
sing "Viva Les Vegas", and "O Sole Mio". |
