Each berth offers electricity and fresh water, broadband Internet, telephone lines and cable TV. At the fuel dock, boats are provided with diesel and unleaded petrol, as well as sewage removal.

An interview with Guillaume Chaillot, new Senior Marina Manager at Royal Phuket Marina (20 Jul 2011)
Guillaume Chaillot recently joined the Royal Phuket Marina team as Senior Marina Manager. Guillaume brings with him over 10 years of experience in marina management and business development, and has successfully demonstrated his ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities, develop brand visibility and drive marina growth and revenue. Guillaume is an international business graduate and can speak French, English, Italian and Spanish.
Q: What made you choose Phuket?
A: I have recognised the potential of the maritime industry in South-East Asia for some time and always wanted to further develop the region as a cruising destination. Phuket has long been one of the best holiday destinations in the world, and even more so now that people tend to travel more frequently. The big players in the maritime industry have all sailed through Phuket at least once, and I want to make sure that those that do have an unforgettable stay and come back again and again.
Q: What do you enjoy about the maritime industry?
A: I have been in the industry for a very long time. As a sailor myself, I had the opportunity to play with boats from an early age. When the time came to choose a living, I naturally chose my passion as a way to support myself; and the maritime industry is my passion.
Q: What made you choose Royal Phuket Marina as the place to further your career?
A: I think Royal Phuket Marina has established itself as one of the most prominent marinas in South-East Asia and shows what an internationally recognised marina should be like. These days, a marina is no longer just about boats in the water, but needs to be a lifestyle provider, and RPM is proof of what can be done. I am happy and proud to be part of a team that excels in the industry, and I'm looking forward to sharing my knowledge and views to improve what we are already good at.
Q: What will you bring to Royal Phuket Marina?
A: I've been in the industry for a long time, and having worked in Australia, Europe and Singapore, I am looking forward to bringing my experience and understanding of what our international clientele is expecting in terms of trade and services, to the team.
Q: What are your plans for the year ahead at Royal Phuket Marina?
A: I have recognised many opportunities in Phuket's market. Indeed, the infrastructure has established a strong platform for marine-related businesses on the island. I intend to further this potential and capitalise on the opportunities that are already present to generate a wider interest in Phuket, and specifically in Royal Phuket Marina.
