China pollution

The world is shocked by the real levels of poor air quality in and around Beijing and other major industrial cities in China, including Hong Kong, causing families to put family health as a top priority.

Investing in property is a favourite of the Chinese middle and wealthy classes. With the newly enforced regulations of “one house one family” aimed at cooling the domestic property, investors are looking increasingly for overseas properties. Traditionally this has favoured locations that offer international education and immigration benefits, but now clean air and healthy living are high up there on the agenda. A  2nd home within the Asia region, that is convenient and cheap to get to and culturally attractive is of great attraction.

Phuket fits the requirement, and Royal Phuket Marina at the edge of the ocean even more so. Phuket has an air index quality of 27 – compared to Beijing  which has been above  850 and even the rain forests in Indonesia and Bali, about the same as the Swiss Alps – are higher than Phuket. Prices are affordable, freehold – a valued ownership status since this is not available at home – is available and there are frequent direct flights available from most major cities.

Royal Phuket Marina’s advantages extend to being just minutes away from well regarded international schools, international hospitals and a wealth of leisure and relaxation opportunities that encourage healthy outdoor living.  It makes the best 2nd home, whether for just family use or as an investment property that can be rented out and enjoy capital appreciation.
